Traditionally, modular buildings have been used primarily for
temporary uses or as a "stopgap" for permanent space needs. However,
often the buildings used for a stopgap measure have evolved into
a permanent use. Vision Building Systems, L.L.C. arose out of
management's "vision" and desire to bring the modular building
industry to the next generation. Accordingly, VBS has been working
with manufacturers to further develop and perfect a concrete modular
product that will provide another permanent alternative in situations
where wood and steel frame modular buildings had been the primary
options. VBS also believes that its concrete modular structures
will provide a cost effective and timesaving alternative to many
projects where conventional construction methods had been viewed
as the only available option.
Modular construction offers many advantages over conventional
construction.A few of these advantages are:
QUICK COMPLETION Modular construction often results
in a shorter construction period than conventional construction.
Since modular buildings are constructed off-site, they can be
under construction at the same time any necessary site preparation
work is performed. This efficient scheduling of work is not possible
using traditional construction methods.
COST SAVINGS Modular construction will often yield
greater cost savings to our clients. This is true regardless of
whether our client desires a wood or steel frame or concrete modular
building. Additionally, since modular technology will often allow
VBS to complete a project in as much as half the time as the same
project would take using conventional construction methods, our
clients enjoy the cost savings of paying less construction term
financing costs and interest. Further, by being able to complete
VBS modular buildings sooner than conventional construction methods
would allow, our clients are able to productively utilize their
new buildings sooner. VBS has found this to be a great advantage
to all clients especially if the building is for a revenue generating
purpose (e.g., hotels, medical clinics, and other commercial applications).
QUALITY & FLEXIBILITY Modular buildings are engineered
to last and may fulfill both permanent and temporary space needs.
In all cases, VBS modular buildings may be expanded, updated,
or relocated as the need may arise.
CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT Modular buildings are constructed
under a factory-controlled environment. This means that our client's
building is not exposed and subjected to many of the elements
(rain, wind, trespassers, vandals, etc.) that may cause damage
or impede or delay the construction process. Upon completion,
our clients' buildings are delivered to the site completed and
finished. These buildings are often installed and operational
in a matter of hours.
